I dropped my phone many times on various hard surfaces and it always managed to protect my screen. I really enjoy that I can see phone and it’s not too hidden by the case itself. Recommend for minimalist phone case. I will note that I dropped once and the shape of the case was bent a bit and I had to rebend it to fit.

Unfortunately, after one solid drop on concrete, the case warped and no longer fits snugly on my phone. The locking mechanism also stopped working after the impact. That said, it did protect my phone from damage, so I give it credit for that. Overall, it’s stylish and functional for everyday use, but durability was a letdown after a serious drop.

Super easy install, can hold your phone well in almost any position, and to top it all off the ring in the back is magnetic. I combined this with my magnet car mount and it works great. Protects my cameras in the back great (no need for a camera protector) and looks great too.

However this case is obviously not meant for those leading an active lifestyle. The paint flakes right off the case and after one drop the case will bend and then never fit your phone properly again, the metal is weak and bends, chips, and scratches easily. It’s a statement phone attachment, not a case. Buyer beware.

Yes, it’s a minimal case. Yes, it’s a nice metal. However you have to think of the cons of those two things. Once dropped on cement it will chew up the case and leave some nice chewed up areas that can be sharp. However this thing did its job as my phone took a pretty hard hit onto the cement. It sacrificed itself to save the phone. The one corner was bent the other corner was chewed up but the phone was completely fine. Not a scratch or knick on it. Sad it’s gone but also did not rebuy because of the price. I’m a teacher and several of my teen students complimented the styling of the case.

However, the biggest issue - the maglock area is so thick the phone will not charge on wireless charging bases. While attempting to wirelessly charge, the back of the phone gets very hot in the magnet area - which is bad for battery life! YMMV.....

For the price of this thing you’d think it wasn’t built much better. The hinge is really hard to push in to remove the case, but then after a while the grip under the metal starts to slip and then the case no longer fits, causing it to become loose and eventually really fall off. This case doesn’t protect the phone at all. I cracked my screen protector, and now my screen is scratched, but thankfully with these new Apple screens, they’re harder to shatter. Furthermore, there’s no support options or any warranty for it so I don’t find it worth it. Don’t waste money!

This case however feels like it's not there, provides a very handy rotating metal stand, and doesn't get in the way of magnet or charging at all. Note that the price is a bit higher here than on the Chinese shopping sites, but you'll get it a LOT faster and with Amazon Prime protection.

Fits nicely but it won’t charge with all magsafe chargers

The case fits really week but I had to buy a MagSafe charger that does not have a “flat” surface.

This case fits like a glove. I am not a bot. I was skeptical after seeing some of the reviews, but if it’s very well and as long as you have a screen protector, this case will do the rest for protecting your phone. I would definitely recommend if you enjoy Minimalistic slick looking products to add to your style

Installation is easy, and case fits well. Seems like quality parts. Comes with two extra corner bumper pads, which is nice. wireless charging also works well.

My only two suggestions and why it isn’t rated a 5:
The top case bumper, covering the corner opposite the camera, covers the antenna on that corner. That bumper is larger than the top, camera side that does not cover that antenna. It isn’t covered by much. May be by design, to hold the case on. Will see if it impacts connectivity as an other review mentioned.

The case has felt on most points that touch the phone. Should help not scratch. However, the square piece around the camera module does not. May not be an issue but could result in a scratch.

Broke sadly

After one day or owning it the 360 ring broke off. Other than that it seems very strong and an awesome case. Maybe just bad luck.

Beware though, you need a good screen protector as the front lip of the corner bumpers is shallow, and also if you drop or throw your phone a lot this is not the case for you, go get an Otterbox.

It’s been through hell and is working like a champ. The side rails add extra side bump protection for a magnetic wallet and MagSafe charger works perfectly with it (I have Pro Max, smaller ones may not be the same).

This is my 2nd phone with this case and will certainly buy it for the next one.

I’d like to see a few more color options (like a deep red)

Matte black finish definitely provides a nice contrast to my blue iPhone. It also seems to be recently sturdy, especially with the screen protector install. The biggest challenge? Getting the darned thing on. It is a very, very, very, very snug fit. I spent a good 15 minutes squeezing the ends of the frame in order to attach the two crossbars, and I had just about resigned myself to returning it, when I finally got it to click.

I really wanted to like this case. It looks fairly good compared to what's out there and the installation was actually surprisingly breezy. But the fundamental function of a phone case is to protect the phone. While the side rubber cushions and the overall aluminum case does provide protection, the camera, namely the 2.5x zoom top lens is unprotected at certain angles. This is due to the taller pieces of the metal brackets not extending far enough along the camera to create a raised lip. This means if your phone falls at a certain angle, it will land solely on the zoom lens.

Update*** okay I was jogging and the phone fell out of my pocket and bouncing and sliding on asphalt and I got a hair line crack on my screen. I think the case helped but didn’t prevent the screen form cracking completely. I have since switched to a more traditional case! Was fun for a while! 🤪

I have the iPhone 12 pro max Had my doubts initially about this case, took me about ten minutes to “install” it. I used blue loctite on the screws. Came with a cool back protector “sticker” that was clear carbon looking weave so you can see your original iPhone color. What impresses me the most is how it makes the phone easier to grip in the hand- the two bars have a taper to them. Also it works with apple mag safe! Fits perfect between the bars, actually helps hold it with the magnets because it just fits or squeezes between them. Over all I think it’s unique and not many people know of this bumper style case.
